The Birmingham Public Library Archive has records on Poor House Residence who was placed in this home to take care of them for old age, no one to take care of them, poor, sick, homeless etc
These records are a gold mine. A database is being built on the folk.Records begin in 1880's and end around the 1950. Black and Whites are located in these records..
